The OAR service area includes Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties and the incorporated towns and cities within those jurisdictions.  OAR services in each area vary based on the community's needs and the available resources.  In Loudoun, OAR provides services for the incarcerated, post-release services, and family services.

OAR maintains a close working relationship with Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and facilitates programs inside the Adult Detention Center and Work Release Center (jail) for the incarcerated.  These jail based programs are designed to address specific factors that lead to criminal behavior and build skills that will assist inmates to successfully reintegrate into the community after incarceration.  OAR is currently offering Life Skills and Employability Skills classes in the Loudoun County Jail.  Coming in the Fall of 2016 OAR will launch a Fatherhood program and an Basic Computer Skills class.

Post-release services are available to address emergency and transitional needs at the time of an individual's release.  Learn more about emergency needs.  When an individual has greater needs, intensive services are available the can last for up to 12 months post-release.  Employment assistance is an important part of the services offered after someone is released from incarceration.  OAR Case Managers will work with individuals after release to ensure they are employment ready and will provide job leads to local businesses willing to consider hiring an ex-offender.

At any time during an individual's involvement with the criminal justice system, OAR offers services to that person's loved ones.  Family services can include a Family Support Group, financial support, and children's programs.  Learn more about OAR Reentry and Family Services.

Loudoun County residents are also eligible to participate in OAR's Violence Intervention Program (VIP).  VIP is designed for individuals who have been charged with domestic assualt or those who simply recognize domestic violence as a problem in thier personal relationships.  Learn more about the OAR Violence Intervention Program.
