Donation Corner

There are many ways that you can get involved and help OAR. OAR welcomes financial donations to support our client services. Please remember us in your will, send checks, donate through united way or donate a item on OAR's wish list. Contributions go directly to programs that benefit our clients.
  • An inmate or ex-offender to enroll in a college course to improve work skills
  • Programs for children of incarcerated parents
  • An ex-offender or family member of an offender to preserve or obtain housing
  • An ex-offender to meet expenses of keeping a job, such as transportation, tools, and uniforms
  • An ex-offender or family member of an offender to pay a critical bill such as electric or heat

Wish List

OAR also accepts in kind donations to support our clients. If you would like to donate an item on our wish list, please come by the OAR office between the hours of 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.
  • New or gently used in-season clothing items for men and women
    • Men’s sizes – Shirts: Large to 3Xlarge. Pants: waist size 32 to 44
    • Women’s sizes – Shirts: Large to 3Xlarge. Pants: Sizes 8 to 18
    • Please be sure that clothing items have clothing size label
  • Coats for men and women (larger sizes preferred)
  • New socks and underwear for men and women
  • New and gently used shoes
  • New and gently used belts and shoe laces
  • New and gently used book bags/totes/duffle bags
  • Umbrellas and ponchos
  • Cold weather hats, gloves, and scarves
  • Unopened/new hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Metro fare cards, bus tokens, and/or SmarTrip cards
  • Old Cell phones (to benefit victims of domestic violence)
  • Gift certificates from local stores (i.e. Giant, Safeway, Walmart, K-Mart)
  • Cash donations are welcomed
Items OAR cannot use

  • Purses
  • Jewelry
  • Tank tops / Camisoles
  • Sandals
  • Used undergarments (bras, underwear, pantyhose, socks)
  • Overly worn shoes
  • Extremely small sizes (xs, small, or under 4 women’s clothing)
  • Children’s items including clothing, toys, books, etc…
  • Broken, damaged, or stained items (missing buttons, broken zippers, etc…)
  • Clothing items with inappropriate logos (profanity, alcohol/drug reference, etc…)
